Are you looking for a job??
Come and check out this FREE Job Fair just for Youth (ages 15-25)
For our 5th Healthy Relationships workshop, the students learned about the different types of abuse (emotional, physical, digital, and sexual) and the individuals/institutions who have the capabilities of performing abuse. Students were given an opportunity to come up with their own possible healthy solutions dealing with abuse and resources they can seek for help.
Thank you again to Center for the Pacific Asian Family for facilitating this workshop series!
Our HAPI-YEP parents participated at the Magnolia High School Parent Learning Walk (PLW).
The purpose of the PLW are the following:
- Review the Principles of the Common Core
- Review the 4 C’s
- Review why the shift to common core is important
- Review why it is important that parents and schools staff work together to make sure students graduate college and are prep for careers.
Parents were able to see and understand why their student studied so much at home, and often times sleep so late because it is due the concepts of the Common Core, and the students ability to comprehend it with the assistance of their peers and teacher.
We want to thank Australia’s Macquarie University for taking the time to come all the way to Anaheim to present for our HAPI-YEP students. Thank you for giving them another viable option as they continue their search for the perfect college and university. To learn more about Macquarie University, please see the link below.
